EspañolOn March 8, 2023, BASF Shanghai Paint Co., Ltd. announced the completion of its new technology center building in Minhang Base. As an important part of the expansion project of Minhang Base, the opening of the technology center building marks another milestone in the development of the Minhang Base of BASF Shanghai Paint Co., Ltd., providing better technology, products and services for Chinese automobile customers with a new attitude.
The new technology center building is equipped with advanced experimental facilities and experienced high-quality teams. Relying on the "color+innovation studio", it can provide customers with full-process solutions from color design, modeling and matching to product development and online, cooperate with customers to create high-quality color, greatly shorten product development time and improve overall work efficiency. The newly-built electrophoresis application technology center can help improve the product technical capability and application engineering strength. It has two modules, namely electrophoresis application laboratory and electrophoresis pilot plant, which can provide customers with comprehensive product performance recognition, quality monitoring, process matching test and other services. It also helps customers to adjust and improve the engineering process and optimize the product application parameters by simulating the customer's coating site.

The expansion project of Minhang was launched in 2020, including the renovation and upgrading of the comprehensive office building, electrophoresis application technology center and technology center building, as well as the newly completed Kaimitre Asia-Pacific Innovation and Technology Center. The expanded Minhang Base will become a production base mainly devoted to the development of coating and surface treatment technology. The best team consisting of developers, technical service personnel and sales personnel will provide OEM customers with comprehensive solutions and jointly promote the innovation and sustainable development of the automotive coating industry.
