What is an injection mold?
Injection Molding An injection mold is a hollow form - usually made of stainless steel - into which molten plastic is injected to make the desired part or product. They have holes (called cavities) in the middle of the part or product shape. In addition to the shape of the cavities, the number of cavities can vary depending on the number of different components or individual parts that need to be produced in each cycle.
